We now live inthe Knowledge Economy era. Once, growth of the nations and civilisations depended purely upon resources such as money, material and manpower. While all these still play a vital role; today, it is the knowledge, data and the skills that separates winners and winning organisations from the rest. There is a huge shift in nations to move into a growth system with knowledge driving it. Academia, research fraternity & industry; all are participating in high vigour to bring about this change. Suffice to say that knowledge is an endeavour of human capital with the associated technologies helping it meaningfully.

Transformation is a developmental process and it helps people and organisations in being relevant and contemporary for today and the future. Transformation results in vitality, respect, growth and of course, inter-dependence. Learning is the way to get transformed for the better. It is the attitude and readiness to learn that facilitate transformation. And, knowledge economy spearheads that.

THE INTERNATIONAL LEARNERS’ SUMMIT – 2025 (ILS 2025), the 3% in the biennial series, is being conceived and executed by the Kochi chapter of Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD) in association with the School of Management Studies,
